What times do you have available to show horses? Appointment times available during the week and limited weekends available.
What is your sales policy? We operate on a first come first serve basis to appropriate homes. We do not hold horses without a deposit. Horses are available until deposit is received. If vetting or trial ride is set up we will not hold without deposit. Vetting and/or trial rides should be completed within five day window. Once deposit is received we will still show horse to prospective buyers until vetting and/or trial ride is complete. There are many reasons an individual may pass on a horse during a vetting and another customer be perfectly happy with the results of said vetting. It is also common that people back out of vettings or simply change their mind before a vetting which is why we do not take horses off the market. That does mean a horse may be sold to someone who buys the horse sight unseen before appointment to come and see it. We will always let you know before traveling if a horse is sold. We do out best to notify everyone right away that a horse is sold. We understand the frustration to have a horse sell that you wanted to come and see but many do sell to buyers who are comfortable with buying through the sight unseen process. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.
Do you allow offsite trials? We take trials into consideration on a case by case basis.
How much and what does the deposit guarantee? Our deposits are $1,000 per sale horse. They guarantee that the horse will not be sold out from under an individual wanting a vet exam and/or to trial ride the horse at our facility. The deposit amount goes towards the final price of sale horse. A deposit guarantees professionalism and truthfulness from both parties.
Is my deposit refundable? Deposits are only refundable in these circumstances: vet exam shows serious health issues and/or limitations NOT disclosed by seller and/or horse not accurately described by seller. For example; horse passes vet exam but buyer decides to back out = DEPOSIT NOT REFUNDED. Special circumstances may be considered at sellers discretion.
Vetting Policy:
Once an agreement is reached to move forward with a PPE it should be set up within five business days. Buyer has 24 hours MAX to decide if they are proceeding with sale after the conclusion of the PPE.

Meet Howie. A 5 year old Hanovarian with the most willing attitude, forgiving soul, and one of the smartest horses we've ever worked with. Standing at 14.3 hand high he is the perfect size for an adult amateur and/or youth working with a trainer to take in any direction. Stands tied to anything, quiet for vet and farrier, bathes, and loads/unloads in a variety of trailers like a true gentleman. His favorite activity is grooming, pulling his mane, and braiding his mane. He will stand quietly for hours falling asleep from the attention, he adores being doted on! He is currently barefoot, up to date on vaccines, deworming, and coggins. Can live outside 24/7 in a mixed herd or in a stall, he does great with both management options. Being a bodyworker he gets spoiled with our therapy blanket and at least one up to two massages a month.
Howie is able to walk/trot/canter on a loose rein or on contact, trail rides out alone or in a group, he is the same horse whether you ride him every day or once a month. He maintains his same relaxed demeanor off property whether it be a trail ride or at events. Crosses logs, water, up and down banks, and bridges quietly and confidently. Schooling first level movements as well as leg yields, side passes, shoulder in/out, and haunches in. He is just starting on his changes and we are confident he will be a quick learner. A great prospect for a parent wanting a horse able to do the occasional show while also being gentle enough for the kiddos to learn on. We feel he would most excel with an intermediate to advanced rider, but still safe for beginners under the supervision of a professional. No matter your goals Howie has the trainability, athleticism, and foundation to take you there. He is adored by all (children and parents) at the facility. Located in Ames, IA.
